Alasdair Cooke

Mr Cooke has over 30 years’ experience in the resource exploration and mining industry throughout Australia and internationally, initially as part of BHP Minerals Business Development Group and with the last fourteen years managing public resource companies as part of the Mitchell River Group. Mitchell River Group has been responsible for a number of successful mining operations and resource companies.

Mr Cooke holds a first-class honours degree in Geology and a bachelor’s degree in Science from the University of Western Australia and is a member of the Australian Institute of Geoscientists. He is an Australian citizen and resides in Perth, Western Australia.

Frazer Tabeart

Dr Tabeart has more than 30 years experience in the international resources industry in both exploration and mining projects covering coal, uranium, nickel, copper and gold across five continents.

Since 2005 Dr Tabeart has worked for African Energy developing projects in Zambia and Botswana, prior to which he was a Principal Geoscientist at Western Mining Corporation where he held various positions over the previous 16 years.

Dr Tabeart has a first-class honours degree and PhD from the Royal School of Mines in London and is also a member of the Australian Institute of Geoscientists and the Society of Economic Geologists. He is a British and Australian citizen and resides in Perth, Western Australia.

Mr David Walton, Project Manager

Mr Walton has a broad range of experience as a Senior Executive across the energy, utilities and telecoms industries, working for leading national and global organisations with large infrastructure assets.

Since late 2013 Mr Walton has been assisting African Energy on their coal to power projects specifically developing the commercial aspects of mine and power station performance, O&M and power sales with particular regard to project financing.

Previously, Mr Walton was a CEO for International Power in the Czech Republic and was responsible for operating two 1000MW(t+e) coal fired power stations, supplementary boilers and 2171km of heat distribution pipelines and retail. Mr Walton held other senior roles within the International Power group within Australia and the UK over a period of 20 years, initially in Finance, HR and Commercial and then as head of the region’s business development and also as Kwinana Power Station Manager.

Mr Daniel Davis

Mr Davis is a qualified accountant who has 15 years experience in senior accounting and corporate roles for resources businesses in all stages from exploration to development, construction and mining.
